Colección: Shrimp

Freshwater shrimp in the genera Caridina and Neocaridina are among the most colorful additions that one might add to any aquarium. Many have been selectively bred over many generations, and can now be found in nearly every color of the rainbow! Neocaridina shrimp appear to be more forgiving of variable water conditions, able to tolerate a wider range of hardness and pH, while the Caridina are more specialized for soft water and pH that is slightly acidic. While both types of shrimp pose absolutely no threat to aquarium fish, baby shrimp can become a convenient meal to even the smallest predators. If you plan on breeding these shrimp in a tank that also has fish, make sure that you provide plenty of of cover, so that the babies have a chance to hide!
