This type of honey comes from stingless bees in the genus Melipona, which have been raised by the Maya people of southern Mexico and Central America for hundreds of years. Suspected to have numerous medicinal properties, our honey is sustainably harvested from native bees in a natural area called Uxuxubi near the seaside town of Akumal, Mexico. It can be used as both a sweetener and a skin care product, as the Maya have used this valuable resource for thousands of years.
